What is it like?

The Master of Creative Enterprise provides high-level professional and practice-based study that prepares graduates for a range of creative roles, and develops their proficiency in current and emerging commercialisation models that are essential in the highly competitive creative industries. It is suitable for graduates of any 3+ year Bachelor’s degree in a relevant creative field, who have a suitable creative project or idea they want to develop and commercialise. Each student will take taught courses in critical studies and enterprise, as well as pursue a supervised creative project from developmental stages through to commercialisation. On completion, students should have a finished creative product, a commercialisation strategy, and a critical understanding of their field.

How long is the degree?

The Master of Creative Enterprise takes three semesters over 12 months full time. Part-time study options (24 months) are also available.

What will I study?

The Master of Creative Enterprise is structured into six courses spread over three semesters (full time), comprising of both taught and supervised components.

The three courses in Summer Semester 2018-2019 cover broad critical perspectives, commercialisation and viability, and pre-production. To stay in the programme, you will need to achieve a B grade average in these three courses.

Semester 1 2019 and Semester 2 2019 comprise a supervised 90-credit Major Project that runs consecutively with two double-semester 15-credit taught courses in applied critical perspectives and advance creative enterprise. Students will produce a critical written exegesis and commercial strategy, along with their MCE Major Project.

To enter the Master of Creative Enterprise, you must have a Bachelor’s degree with a B average in the highest level courses of your degree. You can apply online here.

What are the key dates?

Applications for the Master of Creative Enterprise are due November 12th 2018, but you are urged to apply early. Classes start on November 26th 2018.
