Visualise Your Thesis Competition

The Competition

This is creative storytelling at its best. Using an audio-visual presentation competitors showcase their research using digital communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas to a non-specialist audience in one minute. The competition was developed by the University of Melbourne in 2016 and since then has grown to become an international competition.

The difference between 3MT and Visualise your thesis

Visualise your Thesis does not have a verbal presentation component, the competition is based on a visual presentation. Doctoral students at all stages can participate whereas to participate in the international 3MT competition you must have passed confirmation and not be enrolled in any course work (Professional doctorates are not able to participate in the 3MT internationally)
