Call Forwarding

You can setup Lync so that you can forward your incoming calls to another phone number or person. The following options are available through the client:

NOTE: If you configure Call Forwarding in Lync 2010, when a call connects, the number you set your calls to be forwarded to will be displayed to the person who called you. This occurs with Lync to Lync calls only.

Do not forward calls

All incoming calls will ring on your Desk Phone or via the Lync software on your computer.

deactivate call forwarding

  1. Press Menu
  2. Press Select and Call Forwarding should already be highlighted
  3. Use the phone arrow buttons to scroll to Do not forward calls

  4. Press the OK button (button between the arrows)
  5. Press OK

Forward to Voice Mail

Sets all your incoming calls coming to your Lync extension, to go straight to your voice mail.

  1. Press Menu
  2. Press Select and Call Forwarding should already be highlighted
  3. Use the phone arrow buttons to scroll to Forward to Voice Mail

  4. Press the OK button (button between the arrows)
  5. Press the OK button again
    You will be taken to the main screen, which now should say "Call Forwarding On"

 NOTE: To deactivate forward to voice mail, see Do not forward calls

Forward to a contact or any phone number

Sets all your incoming calls coming to your Lync extension, to forward to the number or person you specify.

  1. Press Menu
  2. Press Select and Call Forwarding should already be highlighted
  3. Use the phone arrow buttons to scroll to Forward to a contact or any phone number

  4. Press Open
  5. Enter the Phone Number or use the phone's arrow buttons to select a Contact who you want to forward your calls to
  6. Press the OK button (button between the arrows)
    The next screen should say "Calls will be forwarded to xxx"
  7. Press OK again
    You will be taken to the main screen, which now should say "Call Forwarding On"

NOTE: To deactivate forward to a contact or any phone number, see Do not forward calls

Simultaneously ring a phone number

Sets all incoming calls to your Lync extension to also ring another phone number.

  1. Press Menu
  2. Press Select and Call Forwarding should already be highlighted
  3. Use the phone arrow buttons to scroll to Simultaneously ring a phone number

  4. Press Open
  5. Enter the Phone Number or use the phone's arrow buttons to select a Contact who you want to simultaneously ring to
  6. Press the OK button (button between the arrows)
    The next screen should say "Simultaneously ring xxx"
  7. Press the OK button again
    You will be taken to the main screen, which now should say "Simultaneously Ring On"
