Connecting Desk Phone to Computer

Connecting your deskphone to your computer using a usb cable (cx600 Desk phone only)

Note: You must have the Lync 2010 client installed on your PC and be signed into Lync.

  1. Plug 1 end of you network cable (black) into the port labelled LAN on the back of the phone

  2. Plug the other end of the network cable into a network outlet on the wall. This will power up the phone
  3. Plug 1 end of the USB cable (the square like end) into the USB port on the back of the phone

  4. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB slot on your computer
  5. On your phone you will see the following message: Do not click skip

  6. On your computer you will prompted for your network login password. Enter your password

  7. Once sucessfully logged on, you will see the following message on your phone:

  8. Click Next if you want to customise the phone (eg. Date, time ringtones etc), or click Done to start using your phone

Log into a Desk Phone

Via the desk phone

  1. You must have set your Lync pin before logging into your Desk Phone. If you haven't already done this, go to this page here: Instructions on setting your Lync pin to log into your Desk Phone
  2. Press the button below the No displayed on the phone screen
  3. Using the keypad on the phone, enter your Lync extension and click Next
  4. Using the keypad on the phone, enter your Desk phone PIN and click Sign In
  5. Click Next to customise your phone setup (e.g. Time, date. etc.)

Exclamation Mark

After changing your network password (what you use to log into computers), a yellow exclamation mark will appear on your phone.

  1. Press the Menu button
  2. Use the arrow buttons to scroll to Switch User
  3. Press the OK button (round button between the arrow buttons)
  4. Press Yes
