What can a Presenter do that an attendee can't?

Only Presenters can share content and manage meeting options. Be aware that many of these options affect what others are able to see, hear, or do in the meeting. The default setting for meetings at Massey, is for everyone to be a Presenter, but you can choose to only make yourself or a handful of people Presenters (see how on Windows or on Mac).

Manage participants

  • Mute or unmute the audience
  • Mute or unmute individual participants (Windows only)
  • Change presenter or attendee privileges during the meeting
  • Admit or deny access to people in the lobby
  • Remove individual attendees from the meeting (Windows only)
  • Start a separate conversation with one or more participants
  • Invite others to the meeting

Work with meeting content

  • Upload or prepare content before the meeting
  • Show meeting content that has already been uploaded
  • Share a program or your desktop
  • Upload attachments for participants to view and save
  • Draw on a whiteboard
  • Add a whiteboard or poll to the meeting
  • Show or hide the stage
  • Add video to the meeting

Modify content permissions

  • Control who can view meeting content privately
  • Change who has access to meeting content
  • Change who can view and save attachments

Record a meeting

  • Record a meeting (Windows only)
  • Publish and share recorded meetings (Windows only)

End/exit a meeting

  • Leave the meeting but keep it going
  • End the meeting for everyone
