Presenters using the Lync 2010 client for Windows can record meetings and save the files to their computers. You can choose whether to save your recorded file as a Lync recording only, or as a shareable Windows Media Recording (.wmv) as well. You can also publish any saved Lync recording as shareable .wmv file later on.
Recording the meeting is a manual task, you can't set a client to record a meeting automatically.
When you stop recording, a pop up box will ask you to save your recording. You can choose to save a shareable wmv file at the same time as the Lync recording.
1. Open the recordings manager. Two methods:
2. Select your recording in the Windows Media Recordings tab, then click Browse. A folder containing your .wmv video file will open.
Ask for consent before sharing recordings.
