Each room is equipped with devices that allow you to make use of a wide variety of resources in your VLT classes.
Use the resident computer for network or internet access, slides etc.
Flip the lid on the silver connection box on the lectern for power sockets, HDMI, VGA, audio and USB connections. Plug in a laptop, camera etc to view content from that device.
Situated on the lectern, the digital document cameras have their own lighting and zoom functionality as well as an extra HDMI input.
Situated in the lectern rack - bring a cinematic experience to your classes! The resident PC is located underneath the Blu-Ray player in the lectern rack.
Each room has its own IWB which will allow annotation of the same screen or document between locations. The Manawatu IWB is fixed in the corner of the room whilst Albany has a mobile IWB that can be switched between two positions. IWB software should appear as a shortcut on your desktop after logging in to the resident PC.
It is possible to use a room camera focused on a free wall space to display student work. This can be useful if students are creating diagrams on large pieces of paper for example.
