Massey University Undergraduate Scholarships are supported by the Massey University Foundation Alumni Undergraduate Scholarships Fund. The purpose in the scholarship is to reward excellence and encourage completion of undergraduate degrees by supporting and encouraging people who are enrolled full-time or part-time, internally, by distance or in mixed mode, for undergraduate studies at Massey University.
Value and tenure
The Massey University Undergraduate Scholarships will have a value up to $3,000 for full-time applicants and $1,500 for part-time applicants.
Payment will be made directly into the recipient’s bank account in May of the year of the award.
The Massey University Undergraduate Scholarships is open to students enrolled internally, at a distance or in mixed mode for a first Bachelor’s degree. Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of 120 credits at Massey University and be entering the second or subsequent year of a programme of study towards a Bachelor’s degree.
A GPA of 7.0 or better (on a 9- point scale) is required.
The scholarships are tenable only in New Zealand and candidates must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
Selection will be basedon academic achievement. The University Scholarships Committee may take account of other scholarships, fellowships, awards and bursaries held by the applicant, with a view to achieving a reasonable distribution of available monies among qualifying candidates.
The Massey University Undergraduate Scholarships will be awarded by the University Scholarships Committee.
Conditions of the scholarship
Students may hold this scholarship more than once, up to a total value of $6,000.
Applications close on 31 January in the year in which the award is to be made.
