The Wairoa Veterinary Club was established in 1968 by local farmers to provide veterinary services to the Wairoa District.
As the Club became more financially secure in recent years a scholarship programme was developed to provide financial assistance to members and their children who enter tertiary studies in either veterinary science or agriculture.
Applicants must have been Wairoa Veterinary Club members for the last five years, or the children of members who have held membership for the last five year membership.
Applicants must be commencing tertiary studies in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Nursing or Agriculture.
Applicants studying Veterinary Science not meeting the above membership requirements, but a resident in the Wairoa District may be considered for a scholarship and should apply.
Applicants are able to apply for their first year of studies and each year after by submitting their previous year’s examination results.
