Purpose
The Sinclair Cummings Veterinary and Animal Sciences Scholarship supports veterinary and animal science studies in New Zealand or overseas.

Background
The Sinclair Cummings Trust assists in promoting and encouraging veterinary and animal science studies relevant to high country farming.

Value and tenure
The annual value of the scholarship is up to $10,000 and the tenure is a single academic year.
At the discretion of the selection committee, the scholarship may be shared by one or more recipients.

Eligibility
Applicants must be a postgraduate student in the School of Veterinary Science or the School of Agriculture & Environment

Selection criteria
•Academic merit.
•Preference will be given to students researching high country farming

Selection panel
A selection committee will make a recommendation to the Trustees of the Sinclair Cummings Charitable Trust. The selection committee consists of the Dean and Associate Dean of Postgraduate Studies and another senior member of staff from the School of Veterinary Science or the School of Agriculture and Environment.

Conditions of the scholarship
The successful applicant(s) will be required to write a progress report six months after the research has commenced, with a final report at the end of the project.

1 December

Application cannot be accepted before 01/09/2019.
