Study relevant to the New Zealand grain and seed industry.
Level of study
Undergraduate; second year
This scholarship was established by the New Zealand Grain and Seed Trade Association in 2010 to provide assistance to students undertaking courses that relate to the New Zealand grain and seed industry.
Value and tenure
The value of the scholarship is $5000 for a single academic year. It will be paid in two equal instalments during the year following application provided the recipient has made satisfactory academic progress and is studying papers relevant to the grain and seed industry.
Paid work can be arranged for the successful applicant during their summer break on an enterprise selected by the New Zealand Grain and Seed Trade Association.

Applicants must be:
•enrolled full time in their second year studying towards a bachelor’s degree relevant to the grain and seed industry, for example an agricultural major within the Bachelor of Agricultural Science or the Bachelor of Science, or a Bachelor of AgriCommerce at Massey University.
•a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Selection will be based on academic merit and interest in the New Zealand grain and seed industry.
Massey University applicants will be selected by the University Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Applied Academic Programmes Scholarships Committee in consultation with a member of the New Zealand Grain and Seed Trade Association.
The committee has the right to refrain from making an award if there are no suitable applicants and its decision is final.
