Roles and Responsibilities
Senior lecturer in Animal Science
Editor of the New Zealand Journal of Animal Science and Production
Member of board of Massey University Press
Coordinator of four postgraduate papers
Coming from a farming background, I studied agricultural science at Massey and continued to do a masters in lipid metabolism in sheep and a PhD in lactational physiology. I have a commitment to quality teaching, believing that I am responsible, at least in part, for my students' learning.
My teaching includes metabolic biochemistry, animal physiology, reproductive physiology, lactational physiology.
My research involves epigenetic effects on lactation in sheep, factors affecting fetal growth and development, mastitis in sheep, and the development of a sheep dairy industry in New Zealand.
