Given that 'high quality teaching makes the most difference to student achievement',

You will be looking for a professional learning facilitator who can help you introduce research-based change to build teaching approaches that 'fits the student rather than requiring the student to fit the change'.

Backed by Massey University that is at the forefront of research into improving pedagogy, Barry actively facilitates the flow of knowledge back and forth between academics and frontline classroom professionals and school leaders

  • 2009 - 2010 - Experienced Princpals Programme
    Experienced Principals Programme. Was a pilot programme sponsored by the Ministry of Education. Barry led and managed the project in 20 schools spread across the central north island. The programme focussed on building the leadership capability of participating principals as they led a school improvement project based in their own schools
  • 2006-2010 - Strengthening Education in Napier South a Schoolin
    Strengthening Education in Napier South (SENS) A schooling improvement project. The SENS project was designed to raise student achievement in literacy through teacher professional learning. The programme had a strong focus on leadership development designed to help school leaders lead the initiative in their schools
