Entry requirements

Admission to the Bachelor of Commercial Music Honours requires that the candidate will:

  1. meet the University admission requirements as specified; and
  2. have been awarded or qualified for a Bachelor of Commercial Music, having achieved at least a B grade average over the highest level courses, or equivalent.

Planning your programme

The BCommMus Honours year is a 120-credit qualification. Students must complete three compulsory courses (105 credits) and choose between either the Contemporary Music Project or Independent Study.

Compulsory courses

You must complete all of the following courses:
133.701 Research, Prototyping and Development for Advanced Music Projects (30 credits)
133.702 Creative Professional Practice (15 credits)

Compulsory electives

You must choose one of the following courses:
133.703 Contemporary Music Project (15 credits)
197.705 Independent Study (15 credits) (by coordinator approval)

You must complete 133.701, 133.702 and 133.703 before you can enrol in 133.803 Advanced Music Research Project.

There will also be compulsory non-tuition fees you have to pay in addition to your tuition fees.
