Massey University’s commitment to actively promoting the retention, transmission, and development of te reo Māori across a range of domains is outlined through Matua Reo Kaupapa (Māori Language Policy).
The Māori Language Advisory Group (MLAG) is the body authorised with advising the University on the usage of te reo Māori. It is made up of representatives from each of the Colleges, the Office of the DVC (Māori and Pasifika), and the Māori Communications Manager. The MLAG is administered by the Office of the DVC (Māori and Pasifika).
There are three subcommittees each with a convenor;
The MLAG convenor is Takuta Ferris, Office of the DVC (Māori and Pasifika).
