MasseyLink is a button that links to a page providing your options for accessing full text. It does not guarantee access to full text, but brings together all of the possible locations you may find full text.
Click the button (or "Check for Full Text" in Google Scholar). A page will open offering a menu of options. MasseyLink does not guarantee access to full text, but lists the possible locations you may find full text. Try the options in order from top to bottom. If none work, click "The Library will try to find this item for you."
Sometimes we have access to the same item in more than one place. We list all the links that are available, in case one link fails for some reason.
This may be due to the following reasons:
The Library can arrange to get the item from a non-Massey library. There is a $5 charge for this service. Click "The Library will try to find this item for you." On the page that opens, tick "Yes" next to "If this item isn't in our collection, would you like us to get it from a non-Massey library?"
If the full text link does not work, click on "The Library will try to find this items for you." Full text links can sometimes fail for several reasons:
Some journals are only available online only after a time delay (usually 6-12 months) because of publisher restrictions.
Occasionally an individual article may have been omitted from coverage. Publishers sometimes decide not to provide peripheral content online e.g. letters to the editor, supplements, etc. Sometimes a complete issue of a journal may have been omitted from coverage.
Incorrect or incomplete citation
Often linking fails because the citation or reference is inaccurate (for instance, the year is wrong), or incomplete (for instance, the issue number is missing). Each part of the citation is important and needs to be correct for MasseyLink to work.
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a permanent link to a particular article or ebook chapter.
“DOI not found” means that automatic full text linking could not occur. This could be for one of several reasons:

Some publishers do not provide article level linking. Follow the link from MasseyLink, and then search the publisher's website for the content you want.
The best way to access Google Scholar is through the Library website, for example the Article Databases or Subject Guides pages. MasseyLink will automatically appear in your Google Scholar search results, and you'll get full text access to content the Library subscribes to, rather than being asked to pay.
