Massey University subscribes to Research Professional, an International online database of research funding opportunities for research, travel, fellowships, conference attendance etc. The default setting is that when logging in as part of the Massey University network that all funding opportunities in the database are eligibility verified for New Zealand based researchers.

Research Professional is fast and easy to use on campus as a guest from any Massey University computer. To save your funding opportunity searches, or to access Research Professional off campus, you will need to register for an account. Go to the Research Professional website and click the Register link (you need to register while on campus).

Massey University has a subscription to Qualtrics which gives staff and students free access to the Qualtrics Research Suite. The web-based survey tool makes it easy to build, design, and share surveys of varying complexity for research purposes.
Qualtrics can be accessed using any web browser on any computer or mobile device. To use Qualtrics, visit the Massey Qualtrics portal at massey.qualtrics.com and login using your username and password.

The following are non-Massey University supported tools that may result in a fee:
High performance computing (HPC), sometimes known as supercomputing, is available for New Zealand researchers. It has two roles. The first is is to greatly boost investigators’ ability to tackle large, difficult problems. The second is to enable current research to be carried out much faster.
NeSI's HPC facilities are the country's most powerful computers for scientific computing. NeSI enables New Zealand researchers to investigate scientific problems that were previously impossible. With access to both the country's most powerful computers for scientific computing and expertise of international calibre, researchers greatly increase the speed and size of processing their scientific workloads.
Applications are done through the NeSI website (Apply for access).

Hubnet is a web application for building secure professional networks, facilitating collaborative projects across geographical and organisational boundaries and for communicating about activities with collaborators, stakeholders and the public. If you are collaborating on research with external parties, Hubnet may be a collaboration solution.
Connected Researchers provides a collection of digital tools that are designed to help researchers explore the millions of research articles available to date. Search engines and curators help you to quickly find the articles you are interested in and stay up to date with the literature. Article visualization tools enhance your reading experience, for instance, by helping you navigate from a paper to another.
THe two systems below underpin research activity for staff members at Massey University. Symplectic is the output repository and evidence system for research, and RIMS is the project management system for research.
Symplectic Elements stores information on academic outputs and produces reports which can be used to represent PBRF Evidence Portfolios. This system is easy to use and has features that will simplify the entry of academic outputs. It is able to retrieve data held in publication databases and automatically load them into the author profiles (Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, ArXiv and DBLP) and is able to retrieve data on books from Google Books as well as import data held in EndNote or ProCites databases.
