The Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Excellence Awards are the premiere awards that celebrate excellence in teaching and learning
Massey University staff are invited to apply for the 2019 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching and for consideration for selection as a Massey nominee for the National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards.
The Vice-Chancellor will grant up to three awards for Excellence in Teaching.
Individuals or teams may also apply for an award. All applicants must have been employed at Massey University in a teaching role for at least three (3) years.
Applications for all awards will be by teaching portfolio. Portfolios of no more than 8000 words, must be submitted to the online portal that will be made available in mid-July, 2019
All applications must be received no later than midnight Monday 16th of September 2019.
The portfolio must be submitted online through the submission portal.
See previous award winners on the Teaching Awards Showcase. We also encourage applicants to talk with previous award recipients as they can often provide valuable assistance. Lastly, unlike previous years the 2019 Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching Award does not share the same criteria as the 2019 national Tertiary Teaching Excellence Award (TTEA). In February of 2019 Ako Aotearoa changed the TTEA award criteria, for the 2019 Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Excellence Award the 2018 TTEA criteria will be used to guide the development of the Massey portfolios.
Any enquiries about the nomination process should be made to Duncan O'Hara email@example.com, ext 83025
