A popular hang out space on campus, often described by our students as a ‘home away from home’, Te Waiora is available Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm for students to chill out in. At any time you are free to go into the kitchen and make yourself a hot drink (we provide coffee, tea and hot chocolate and milk). There are awesome spaces to chat, study, relax and reflect in.
Join in our famous pancake night every Wednesday – come along, eat a delicious dessert and play cards or just chat. We sometimes have live music from local musicians too.
All students are welcome at the Centre, regardless of your spiritual persuasion. Chaplains also hang out at Te Waiora and someone is always available to help.
Regular events held at Te Waiora include:
Auditorium, Tuesday 6.00pm
Reflection Room, Wednesday 12 noon
Bible based English corner
Reflection Room, Wednesday 12.10pm
Blake Room, Wednesday 2.15pm
Anxiety support group
Blake Room, Wednesday 1.00pm
Auditorium, Wednesday 7.00pm
Please come and visit us. Whenever the door is open you are welcome to drop in, or you can make an appointment to talk to a chaplain.
